Meet Dr. Kari Cwiak

Dr. Kari Cwiak

Dr. Kari Cwiak was born and raised in Fredericksburg, VA. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mary Washington with a degree in biology. For two years Dr. Kari was a high school biology and earth science teacher in the Spotsylvania County school system.

Education and Continuing Education

Dr. Kari attended and graduated from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona. There, she was selected and inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a dental honor society. During Dr. Kari’s tenure as a dental student, she played an active role, serving as class secretary, treasurer, president, student ambassador, student representative on clinical activities committee, and venturing to Peru on a dental mission trip, among other activities.

Dr. Cwiak completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry through Lutheran Medical Center, in Tucson, Arizona. She is board-eligible and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Dental Association.

Outside the Office

Dr. Kari is delighted to be back in beautiful Virginia and lives with her husband in the Hampton area. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping, teaching group fitness classes, and sunny days at the beach! She looks forward to imparting the same dedication, care, and excellence for which Hampton Roads Pediatric Dentistry is known.

Dr. Kari looks forward to meeting you and is thankful for the opportunity to be entrusted with the oral healthcare of your precious children. Dr. Kari promises to deliver quality dental care in a fun, loving environment and to treat each child as if he or she were her own.
