Dr. Alexandra Katsantoni

Education and Continuing Education

Dr. Alex is a pediatric dentist born and raised in Athens, Greece. She received her DDS from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Dentistry. After completing her undergraduate studies, she practiced as a general dentist for two years. The early realization of her passion for Pediatric Dentistry motivated her to pursue employment at a pediatric dental clinic during her undergraduate studies and for two more years after she received her DDS. Her willingness to receive an outstanding educational experience in pediatric dentistry inspired her to enroll in the specialty program of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ from where she received a certificate in pediatric dentistry and Master’s of Dental Science degree. Dr. Alex is also involved in several research projects and publications in scientific journals.

Dr. Alex is passionate for working with children and she enjoys building personal relationships with her patients based on communication and compassion. Dr. Alex’s goal is to understand each patient’s individualized dental needs and to make your child’s dental care a comfortable and enjoyable experience!

Dr. Alex is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association.

Outside the Office

In her free time, Dr. Alex is committed to contribute to the improvement of the oral health of children by participating in community service programs. She also enjoys travelling, skiing, reading books and spending time with her friends and her family.
